Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food was SPECTACULAR. We had the gnocchi and the calcio e pepe. The gnocchi was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Our server was Monica, and her mother is the cook. Needless to say they certainly did not disappoint! Monica was courteous and prompt; providing us great details to the menu. We were there for lunch and did not realize they closed at 14:30, but they patiently waited while we finished our meals, without even hinting they needed to close! Love this place and we will definitely be going back!"
"We went here to dine on our last night in Umbria. I never do reviews but this place was so wonderful and special that I had to. The family run restaurant served provably the best food we ate in our 10 day Italian vacation. The slow cooked ribs and the gnochetti were out of this galaxy! The flavors, quality, and execution of all our meals were incredible 10/10. We later discovered the mamma is actually the person cooking these incredible meals. We were treated so well and felt so welcomed that for a few hours we felt part of the Passignano family. Thank you for the marvelous experience and incredible food."
"This is a very nice small family owned Osteria. Incredible food and friendly service. Lots of outdoor seating, although we sat inside. Mamma cooks and she came out to say hello. Highly recommended!"
"One of the best restaurants you can find , lovely place near the lake , amazing food including deserts . I will return for sure"
"Tucked away in Passignano Sul Trasimeno, this cozy Italian spot is a real treasure and a true family owned restaurant. The minute you walk in, you're welcomed with open arms and treated like one of their own. The mom in the kitchen adds her special touch to every dish, making them taste like home cooked meals with a sprinkle of love. One night, a member of our party was not feeling well and we called to see if they have chicken soup on the menu to order. And even though they did not, they were able to make us 15 orders of chicken soup for everyone, and I tell you that even the soup was amazing! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and swing by and experience the magic for yourself. It's more than just a meal, its a taste of Italian hospitality straight from the heart. Buon appetito!"
"We had lunch and we reached it 10 minutes before 14:30. In Italy at that hour restaurants close but we were showed to a table and we had a wonderful and delicious lunch. Wife had gnocchi and I had tortellini. Kids enjoyed pasta like spaghetti only thicker and we're called pici. Everyone said the food was delicious."
"We ate quote a few times during our stay in Passignano sul Trasimeno and it became our favorite place to eat. The food was always delicious and wine suggestions were spot on. We felt welcome and service was very friendly and warm!"
"Gorgeous family owned place, with freshest ingredients, imaginative tasty menu. Fab wines, and great value for money. Highlights from several visits include crudo of gamberi rossi with stracciatella, tiny local olives and sundried tomatoes; creative variation on panzanella; lovely tartare chianina with truffles and the top of top of all the dishes for us was gnochetti stuffed with chunks of fresh porcini mushrooms, in beautiful pecorino sauce. To die for! Do yourself a favour, if it's on the menu - order it, and don't share! Lovely interiors, fresh flowers everywhere, and attentive kind service. Loved this osteria, and cannot wait to return!"
